Butler Lands Big Man Joey Brunk

Confirmed on Brunk’s twitter…

Big land for the Bulldogs. Brunk is a 3 star big man who remains in state to play with Butler.

Brunk becomes the third player Butler has landed this offseason. Jordan Gathers will use his final season of eligibility this upcoming season as a graduate transfer. Former George Washington guard Kethan Savage also transferred in, but will have to wait until the 2016-17 season. Brunk is Chris Holtmann’s first commit from the Class of 2016.

Brunk averaged close to 17 points and 9 boards a game last season for Southport High School. Purdue had gone after Brunk as of recently at least, but he only visited Butler and Oklahoma. He seemed destined to be a Bulldog.

Now tweeting that he is going to Butler, and going to Butler, well they aren’t one in the same as Brunk will have to wait until the early signing period which starts in November before he can sign his name to the Butler dotted line.
