Date & Time Set For Louisville vs. Indiana In Next Season’s Jimmy V Classic

We’ve known for nearly a year now that Louisville will be one of the four teams participating in the 20th annual Jimmy V Classic in New York City next season. On Wednesday afternoon, the official field was announced along with the starting times of each game.
The doubleheader in the Big Apple will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 9. ESPN will televise both games from Madison Square Garden, beginning with Villanova vs. Maryland at 7 p.m. ET followed by Indiana vs. Louisville at 9 p.m.
Louisville and Indiana had a two-year series, which ended in 2003 and haven’t played each other since. Tom Crean’s Hoosiers had a tough year in 2013-14 and failed to make the post season. To make matters worse, they lost their best player to the NBA and have two other players transferring.
Regardless, this is a game that could only strengthen Louisville’s already tough non conference slate in 2014-15. The Cards will have three Big 10 opponents next season. They’ll start the year against Minnesota, then play IU in the Jimmy V Classic and they’ll also take part in the Big 10 vs. ACC challenge.
