Kings’ Cousins has stomach flu, questionable to play Friday

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is questionable to play Friday against the Phoenix Suns due to a stomach flu, the Kings announced.

A case of viral meningitis forced Cousins to miss 10 games earlier this season, over which time the Kings won just two games.

Cousins is the linchpin that gives the Kings stability on both ends of the floor. He is the Kings’ only rim protector and their only true low post threat. He is averaging 23.9 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, good for a PER of 27.9.
