Lance Stephenson draws foul by slapping himself in his own face

Is it a flop if there’s real contact?

That was the question Charlotte Hornets guard Lance Stephenson made us all ask on Saturday night when he made contact with the Warriors’ Harrison Barnes and slapped himself in his own face.

Now, Stephenson has a reputation for being a tough player and a solid defender. He’s also one of the bigger on-court personalities and a bit of an embellisher when it comes to drawing fouls.

Perhaps that’s why it was so funny when he whacked himself in his own face. It didn’t help that after his digits made contact with his face, Stephenson did the head kick we’ve all come to know and love.

It worked, since he did draw a foul on the play.

Lance’ll make ’em dance. He’ll also make you laugh.
