Pacers sign Rodney Stuckey for 3 years, $21 million

Rodney Stuckey has agreed in principle on three-year, $21 million deal with the Indiana Pacers, league sources have reported. The 3rd year has an option for an opt out.

Stuckey spent seven years with the Detroit Pistons before his one-year stint with the Pacers. He’s an explosive scorer who can provide valuable minutes as either a starter or a reserve.

Last season, Stuckey averaged 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 26.4 minutes per game. He hit 39 percent of his three-point shots. He’s exactly the type of scorer who could give a contender an added boost offensively.
