Steve Prohm to be Iowa State’s New Head Coach

Steve Prohm has been hired by Iowa State to lead their basketball program. Prohm steps into a dream situation, taking over an experienced top-5 team motivated to avenge a season that they felt was cut short last year.

Fred Hoiberg left Iowa State for the Chicago Bulls and a bigger paycheck, but this doesn’t mean that this isn’t a great job for Prohm.

Prohm brings a history of success with him to the Cyclones. With Murray State, he never failed to win at least 20 games in his four seasons there. In his first year as head coach, he was able to get the Racers up to No. 9 in the AP Poll and finished in the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.
