Thunder lose Serge Ibaka for playoffs with calf injury

The Oklahoma City Thunder may be doomed by injury yet again.

Power forward Serge Ibaka, the Thunder’s third-leading scorer and key defensive force, will miss the rest of the 2014 NBA playoffs with a left calf injury, the team announced Friday evening. He was hurt in Oklahoma City’s Game 6 road win against the Los Angeles Clippers, which put the team in the Western Conference finals against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Thunder now will have to take on the defending West champion Spurs and future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan without their best shot-blocker and rebounder. Game 1 is Monday (9 p.m. ET, TNT).
