Wicked Jump Shot is an online media outlet for all things basketball written with a twist of hip hop. This includes, news, scores, updates, player reports, coaching reports, scouting reports, trending news, highlights, game updates, player updates, editorials and more and includes all levels of basketball from the NBA, WNBA, College Hoops from the mighty NCAA at D1 down to d2 and D3, High School Hoops, Streetball, and updates on former greats such as Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and similar former and current greats including Lebron James, Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, and more.

Wicked Jump Shot was founded by NSSA & USBWA member, Frank ‘Catfish’ Hughes. Hughes is the acting owner, writes an editorial and news for the site, and is the head editor.

Frank “Catfish” Hughes

Frank “Catfish” Hughes has been called, “Bob Knight’s Baby with Hip Hop that covers sports.” and “the future of sports writing!” He is an official member of the NSSA & USBWA. Catfish covers the Los Angeles Angeles as the official East Coast Voice of the Lakers, and owns the NBA media outlet, WickedJumpShot.com and was the host of Thru the Wire Sports Talk Radio which aired on both ESPN Radio and Fox Sports Radio. Catfish is the head editor and chief here at the Boxing Globe.




Joey Sinatra 

Joey Sinatra is a co-founder of WickedJumpShot.com Joey is a boxing and basketball journalist who attends USI as a post graduate. Joey grew up in the New Rochelle Area of the greater New York City area, and is a cousin of the famous singer, Frank Sinatra. Joey also writes for the Boxing Globe.



Nick the Quick Endress

Nick the Quick is an avid fan of basketball and hip hop, and a contributing writer with WJS since 2013. Nick has interviewed rappers, ballers, rapper ballers, and baller rappers on the site and continues to preach that the NBA should have a team in Europe. Maybe because Nick currently lives outside London where to them Football is actually played with your feet, can you believe this fatuousness?



Zac Porter

Zac Porter is a contributing writer for WJS and three other online websites. Zac is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Clippers, Lob City, and a die hard fan and alumni of the UCLA Bruins. Zac has been with WJS since it’s inception but briefly left to finish his education. Now a graduate and on the path to even greater success, follow Zac for all your basketball needs, and of course the John Wooden Pyramid of Success.


Aaron Brooks

Aaron Brooks is a former D2 College Athlete who played both basketball and baseball for two different D2 Schools. Brooks gets his nickname, Lefty, from his pitching side which is different from his batting stance, his basketball shooting hand, and almost everything else ‘Lefty’ does on a daily basis. Aaron is also from the Terrapin state of Maryland which plays on his nickname as well, Lefty Dreissels, former Maryland Head Coach. Lefty joined WJS in 2013 and has grown with the website. Aaron ‘Lefty’ Brooks has guaranteed a Maryland National Championship in 2016. Lefty also preaches that Len Bias would have been greater than Jordan & Lebron combined!
